Public Statement from Pour Choices Pour Choices Events & Tours is no longer affiliated with Jaby Dayle ( Djenaba Dayle ) in any personal or professional capacity. Any reference or suggestion otherwise is incorrect. As a survivor of intimate partner violence at the hands of Jaby Dayle, a formal, trauma-informed request was submitted on February 3, 2025, to Hassel Aviles, founder of Not 9 to 5 Org, and the production company responsible for a podcast episode in which Jaby Dayle references Pour Choices, the founder's family, and their past relationship. The request was simple: re-edit the episode to remove all mention of the survivor. It is deeply painful and retraumatizing to hear someone who caused harm speak warmly and publicly while never acknowledging the private abuse they inflicted. Hassel Aviles was made aware of the abuse and its impact as early as September 2024, yet all requests for respectful action have been ignored. As of today, the content remains live without consent. Organizations that claim to support mental health and trauma recovery must be held accountable when they choose to ignore survivors. Silence and inaction are not neutral—they enable continued harm. This statement is made to uphold transparency, protect the truth, and set clear boundaries. It exists so that others seeking information or clarity can find it. - April 4 2025
